How a garage brew day became our house tradition

Crossfield Craft started with a notebook, a borrowed kettle, and a stubborn belief that small batches can tell big stories—one recipe, one tweak, one pour at a time.

Small-batch session · brewed at home

The first time we brewed under the Crossfield Craft name, we weren’t chasing perfection—we were chasing a feeling. The hum of the burner, the steam lifting off the mash, the quiet math of gravity readings. Friends drifted in, asked too many questions, and stayed long enough to smell the hops hit the boil. By the end of the day, we had sticky floors, a page of notes, and the kind of tired that says you made something real.

“A good beer doesn’t just taste right—it remembers the day you made it.”

That’s still how we approach every batch: treat the recipe like a living draft. We brew, taste, adjust, and document everything—water, temps, timing, yeast behavior—because the details are where the beer gets its personality. Some brews come back again and again as house favorites; others are one-time experiments that taught us what not to do. Either way, the goal is the same: honest flavor, brewed with intent.

If you want to see what’s in rotation—or what’s fermenting right now—our Brewfather log is the clearest window into the work. You’ll find recipes, batches, and the notes that connect them, from first sketch to final pour. And if you’ve got questions, tasting ideas, or a collaboration in mind, we’re always up for a conversation.
